College 3 hosts the Universal Children’s Day celebration at Jacobs!
On the 21st of November College 3 hosted the Universal Children’s Day celebration, organized by the UNICEF club on campus. Kids from many kindergartens in Bremen, as well as their parents, came to paint, play, dance, and eat cake. All guests of the event listened to the inspiring speech and songs of Magnet Man, an international dancehall star from Barbados, who was the special guest of the event. All kids received autographs and special posters from Magnet Man, and participated in the different creative workshops.

One of the most popular workshops was the face painting workshop, where the kids could choose what animal they want to be. There were a lot of kittens, lions, tigers, butterflies and many more. The kids also participated in a lot of fun games with special prizes, while their parents were drinking coffee and eating from the delicious home-made sweets.
UNICEF club is very happy to announce that €400 was gathered from this event and from the charity reggae concert on the previous day. The funds from these two events were donated to UNICEF's campaign Schools for Africa, which aims to build schools for 4 million children in Africa.

UNICEF club would also like to give its special thanks to some people, without which both events wouldn't be possible: everybody from College 3 who helped for the organization of the events (especially Götz Pfander, Tijana Janjic-Pfander, Robert Rennie, Michael Owonibi, Autun Purser, and Rhianon Williams), Magnet Man and his team, the OtherSide, the GSA, CAIA, the USG, the Music Club (Ognyan Seizov), the Sound and Light Crew (Kevin Korte), the Security students (Rafael Almeida, Matabato Kimani, Vasile Apostu), the Student Service Center, and Sebastian Blümmert.
