Hany, Riham and Farah Elgala
I am Hany Elgala, born 1977 in Egypt, the land of the Pharaohs. I have been married since September 2001 to Riham. In 1982, I was 5 years old when I came with my family for the first time to Germany; my father was a guest professor at Weinstefan University in Freising. I finished my B.Sc. in Communications and Electronics from Ain Shams University in Cairo, 2000. Starting September 2001, I was carrying on my M.Sc. in Micro-systems Engineering at Furtwangen University near the Alps. July 2003, I joined Jacobs University to teach the Electrical Engineering laboratories. Currently, I am holding a Ph.D. degree and working as a postdoctoral fellow researcher in the field of wireless communications. I have played volleyball since I was 9 years old and I even played with the Egyptian youth national team!
I am Riham Galal, also born in Egypt, I finished my B.Sc. of Economics and Political Science from Cairo University, 2000. I came here to Germany just three months after my wedding party (September 2001). It took time to get used to living in Germany but now I am very happy with my life, especially in Bremen. For me to be a resident associate will give me the opportunity to invest my time to help students and engage with them in their activities. We would like to welcome you upon your arrival to College 3, we also can help you if you face problems with the German language and we have absolutely no problem if you would like to borrow any stuff, but on one condition, you have to bring them back! With you we can organize many things that make you feel as if you are back home and let you enjoy your semester. Finally, in times of trouble you will find us.
Hallo, Hallo! It is me, Farah. I was born in the south of Germany, Munich, on 24. February 2003. I was 6 months old when I got elected to be a resident associate for College 3. My hobbies are swimming and ballet dance.
Omar was born in Bremen on 2. May 2008. He spent his whole life on-campus living in College 3. During the day, he is eating, playing, eating, playing, eating, and playing. Omar goes early to bed in spite of having no lectures in the early morning.
